Craig's Insight Into Working as a Dev Ops Manager for pH Innovate Group

Here at the pH Innovate Group, we value our staff – which as of 2024 is more than 100 strong. This is the first in our series of staff spotlights, designed to shine a light on individual members of the pH Innovate team and give some insight into what happens behind the scenes.

Today, we spoke to Dev Ops Manager Craig Teague, who has been with us for over seven years in our Next Venture Team.

What does your role involve?
As Dev Ops Manager I look after the development and deployment of software changes, along with being hands on and carrying out development changes myself.

How long have you worked for the PH Innovate Group?
I have been with pH Innovate for seven and a half years. Previously, I worked for the group’s founders, so I knew the company would be an excellent fit for my skills and my career aspirations.

What is your favourite part about your job?
I find it really rewarding when we promote a system change for a customer and can see it having a positive impact for them.

Are you undergoing any training or working on any skills right now?
Currently myself and my team are getting familiar with a cyber security platform called SentinelOne. We have been working with this and integrating it into our systems to improve security.

What are your career aspirations for the future?
While I don’t have a clear idea of how my career might progress going forwards, one thing I aspire to do is to expand on our growing customer base and improve the system, as this will help my colleagues carry out their jobs more efficiently.

Tell us more about you outside of work – what do you enjoy?
An obvious one to mention is that I love being a father – but outside of that, I also really enjoy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, collecting and listening to vinyl records, and watching Cardiff City.

Thank you Craig for taking the time to tell us about yourself and your role.
